Navigate to Settings from the sidebar or your avatar menu. From the Profile Settings card you can update your display name, avatar, and bio. Creators who want full branding control (banner image, social links, etc.) can use the Creator Studio Settings page.
No. Public videos on YourStream can be viewed without an account. However, you need an account to like, comment, bookmark, subscribe to creators, or access exclusive content.
Your handle is a unique username prefixed with @ (for example, @yourname). It appears in your channel URL and allows other users to find you. You can set or change your handle in Creator Studio Settings. Handles can contain letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens.
The video player supports play/pause, seeking via the progress bar, volume adjustment, playback speed control, fullscreen mode, theater mode, and a mini-player. You can also enable autoplay so the next video starts automatically.
The player recognises several keyboard shortcuts when focus is not in a text field: Space to play or pause, Left/Right arrows to seek back or forward 5 seconds, Up/Down arrows to adjust volume, F for fullscreen, M to mute, T for theater mode, A to toggle autoplay, and P to open the mini-player.
Theater mode expands the video player to fill the width of the page while keeping the rest of the page visible below. Press T on your keyboard or click the theater mode icon in the player controls to toggle it.
The mini-player lets you continue watching a video in a small floating window while you browse other content on YourStream. Press P or click the mini-player icon to activate it. You can close it at any time by clicking the X button on the mini-player overlay.
YourStream processes uploaded videos through Cloudflare Stream, which provides adaptive bitrate streaming. The player automatically selects the best quality for your connection speed, so you always get smooth playback without buffering.
YourStream accepts MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, MKV, MPEG, OGV, and 3GP files. For the best compatibility and fastest processing, we recommend uploading in MP4 (H.264) format.
Direct uploads support files up to 200 MB. For larger files, YourStream uses TUS resumable uploads so that an interrupted upload can be continued from where it left off rather than restarting.
After upload, videos enter a processing status while Cloudflare Stream encodes multiple quality levels for adaptive streaming. Most videos are ready within a few minutes. You can track processing status in the Studio Processing page.
When your video finishes processing, a thumbnail is automatically generated from the video. You can also upload a custom thumbnail image from the video edit page in Creator Studio to make your content stand out.
You can set each video to Public (visible to everyone), Unlisted (accessible only via direct link), or Exclusive (available only to your supporters, with an optional exclusivity window of 1-14 days before the video becomes public).
Creator Studio is your dashboard for managing everything about your channel. Access it from the sidebar under Studio. From there you can upload videos, edit metadata, view analytics, manage moderation settings, and configure your channel branding.
Creator Studio shows your total video count, total views, total likes, total comments, subscriber count, and recent subscriber growth. Each video also has individual view and engagement metrics so you can see which content resonates most with your audience.
The Channel Moderation page lets you manage banned users for your channel. When you ban a user, they can no longer comment on your videos. You can view all banned users, see when they were banned and the reason, and unban them at any time. Comments also pass through an automated profanity filter to help keep conversations respectful.
Go to Studio > Videos, find the video you want to edit, and click the edit button. You can change the title, description, category, tags, visibility, thumbnail, and exclusivity window settings from the edit page.
Visit any creator's channel page and click the Subscribe button. Once subscribed, their new uploads will appear in your Subscriptions feed and they will show up in your sidebar under Subscribed Channels.
The Subscriptions page in the sidebar shows the latest videos from creators you follow, sorted by publication date with the newest content first.
Yes. When a creator you subscribe to publishes a new video, you will receive a notification. You can manage your notification preferences in Settings under Notification Settings.
Click the bookmark icon on any video to save it for later. All bookmarked videos are accessible from the Bookmarks page in the sidebar, sorted by the date you saved them.

Creators can enable supporter subscriptions on their channel. Viewers pay a monthly amount (set by the creator, starting at $4.99/month) to become a supporter. Supporters get access to exclusive videos and content that is not available to regular viewers.
YourStream takes a 15% platform fee on supporter subscription revenue. Creators keep 85% of all supporter subscription income. This revenue split is transparent and applies equally to all creators on the platform.
When publishing a video with Exclusive visibility, you can set an exclusivity window from 1 to 14 days. During this period, only your supporters can watch the video. After the window expires, the video automatically becomes public for all viewers. This rewards your supporters with early access to your content.
Go to Studio Settings and enable the supporter subscriptions option. You can set your monthly price and customise the benefits description. Once enabled, a Support button will appear on your channel page.
Open Settings from the sidebar. The Profile Settings card shows your current display name, avatar, and links to the full profile editor in Creator Studio Settings where you can update your banner, bio, social links, and handle.
In Settings, the Notification Settings section lets you toggle email and in-app notifications for new subscribers, comments on your videos, likes, and new uploads from creators you follow.

In Settings, the Recommendation Settings section lets you adjust your content preferences to influence which videos appear in your explore feed and recommendations.
Account deletion is available at the bottom of the Settings page in the Danger Zone section. Deleting your account is permanent and removes all your videos, comments, subscriptions, and profile data. You will be asked to confirm by typing your email address before the deletion proceeds.
Click the three-dot menu on any video or comment and select Report. You will be asked to choose a reason (such as spam, harassment, or inappropriate content) and can provide additional details. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.
Reports are queued for review by platform administrators. Admins can view reported content in the Admin Dashboard, take action (remove content, warn or suspend users), and resolve the report. You may receive a notification when your report has been addressed.
YourStream prohibits content that promotes violence, harassment, hate speech, illegal activity, spam, or sexually explicit material involving minors. Copyrighted material uploaded without permission may also be removed. Full guidelines are available on our Content Guidelines page.
Yes. YourStream employs an automated profanity filter on comments to catch obviously offensive language before it reaches viewers. Creators can also manage banned users on their channel. Flagged content is surfaced to administrators for human review in the Admin Dashboard.
First, check your internet connection and try refreshing the page. If the video was recently uploaded, it may still be processing -- check the processing status in Creator Studio. Make sure your browser is up to date and that JavaScript is enabled. Clearing your browser cache can also resolve playback issues.
Verify that your file is in a supported format (MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, MKV, MPEG, OGV, or 3GP) and under the 200 MB limit for direct uploads. Check your network connection, as interrupted uploads may need to be retried. If the problem persists, try uploading from a different browser or clearing your browser cache.
Go to Settings and make sure your notification preferences are enabled for the types of alerts you want to receive. If you use email notifications, check your spam or junk folder. Browser-based notifications may require you to grant notification permissions when prompted.
Click Forgot Password on the sign-in page and enter your email address. You will receive a password reset link that lets you set a new password. If you signed up with Google, you do not have a password -- simply use the Google sign-in option.
Try refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or opening the site in an incognito/private window. YourStream works best on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. If the issue persists, please contact our support team with details about your browser and operating system.
